We are looking for a Project manager for wealth & assest managemnet for our client in the Financial Sector. You will be responsible for leading and executing a subtrack with in a critical IT separation programme. The programme focuses on the "lift and shift" of existing IT systems, including investment management systems and data warehouse systems, from another financial institution to the new organization. The role involves ensuring a seamless transition of systems with minimal disruption to operations, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Location: Greater Copenhagen area, hybrid.


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong track record in managing large-scale IT separation or system migration projects, specifically "lift and shift" operations
  • Extensive experience in the financial services sector, particularly in wealth and asset management, with a deep understanding of investment management systems and data warehouses
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders, with a focus on technical project execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or IPMA/PMP/PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and systems related to wealth and asset management, particularly in system migration contexts
  • Strong knowledge of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices, with an emphasis on data integrity and system compatibility
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering results in technically complex projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps, MS Project, JIRA) and migration tools (e.g., ETL tools, data migration software)
  • Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away
  • Professional English skills - both oral and written
  • Proficiency in Danish both written and spoken

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Lead the "lift and shift" execution of Wealth & Asset Management related IT systems, including investment management systems and data warehouse systems, ensuring a smooth transition from the source organization to the new entity
  • Develop and manage the project plan, focusing on the technical aspects of system migration, integration, and testing
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the overall separation strategy
  • Contribute building a future operational organization through input on required processes, skills and tools
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in, particularly regarding data integrity and system functionality during the transition
  • Facilitate decision-making processes to resolve issues that impact project delivery, with a focus on technical challenges related to system migration
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the "lift and shift" for a defined set of applications, including the extraction, transportation, and re-deployment of IT systems within the new organizational environment
  • Ensure compatibility of the existing systems with the new IT infrastructure, addressing any issues related to integration, data migration, and system performance
  • Collaborate with IT teams to conduct rigorous testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure that systems function correctly in the new environment
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, including IT specialists, data engineers, and external vendors, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization
  • Identify and onboard necessary resources, including external consultants and vendors, with a focus on technical expertise in system migrations
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and issues related to system migration, including data loss, system downtime, and compatibility issues
  • Prepare regular project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial reports, with a focus on the technical aspects of the migration
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition for end-users during and after the system migration
