DTU Skylab, the innovation hub at DTU, is looking for a proactive and versatile student assistant to help with event execution and ensure seamless operations at all Skylab events.
Job Responsibilities
- Logistics Management (setting up and breaking down event spaces, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available and functioning)
- Administrative Support (Handling registrations and attendee lists)
- On-Site Support: (Greeting and assisting attendees, troubleshooting any issues during the event, coordinating with the event team to ensure everything runs smoothly)
- Ad hoc Administrative tasks related to our startup incubator
You will join a team of five, including two full-time event coordinators, one event coordinator trainee, and two student assistants. Together, you will manage planning, communication, administrative, and practical tasks related to events.
Who are you
We are looking for a student who:
- Has at least one year (preferably two+ years) left of their studies
- Can communicate in both written and spoken English
- Can work 15 hours per week on average (work hours will vary a lot)
- Has experience in planning and hosting events will be considered an advantage.
We expect you to be proactive and take pride in delivering high-quality results. You will handle many tasks, often with short deadlines, so it is important to maintain an overview, work efficiently, and deliver on time.

DTU Skylab is DTU’s innovation hub, a vibrant community supporting diverse activities such as curricular courses, company collaborations, and startup programs. Since its conception in 2013 DTU Skylab has been an engaging and inclusive learning space with offices, teaching, and event facilities, with multiple workshops and laboratories.
Our talented staff is our signature. We have a highly creative atmosphere with around 60 full-time employees in 3 sections. We have an informal culture, and we can laugh, party, and be very serious about our actions. We love our users and collaborators, and we love to tell all the great stories about the projects and activities running in DTU Skylab, spanning from airborne windmills, cell ag technologies, intimate health devices, AI laboratory robots, digital coaching services to facilitating student associations and international summits.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff, etc. (HK/State).
Working hours are, on average, 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. The starting date is 1 June 2025 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
