Your Position

As Director of Operation Support, Manpower & Resources in the Transitional Energies division, you will play a pivotal role within the Manpower & Resources team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, you will be part of the leadership team for Manpower & Resources.

Your mission is to integrate resource management across onshore and offshore projects. You will ensure profitable manpower solutions and promote motivational, safety-focused leadership for our people. You will also drive strategic initiatives and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. In this role, you will make a significant impact on the global energy sector.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Lead a department of several hundred employees, including both administrative and production personnel.
• The majority are contracted personnel for large and small projects in the North Sea as well as onshore projects in the energy sector. 

Your Tasks

As Director of Operation Support, you will lead and develop the organisation. Your focus is to ensure that the right people with the right competencies are in place. You will establish and manage a global, scalable framework for workforce planning and competence development. Your work will optimise our structure and enable high performance across the business.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Leading and developing the organisation through Managers and Team Leaders 
• Building relationships and driving sales with key customers and larger tenders.
• Initiate the optimization of workflows and processes, including project and task execution.
• Contract management of key contracts for leading companies in the energy sector. 
• Expanding the global resource and competence pool, leveraging new business opportunities. 
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and delivering on 'safety leadership'.

Your Profile & Qualifications

We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Director of Operation Support, who is passionate about leading strategic initiatives in the Manpower & Resources Team. 

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• Advanced technical education (such as engineer, marine engineer, or similar), preferably with a commercial specialization (such as HD or MBA).
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
• Commercial mindset
• Proven track record in resource & project management and project execution.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of responsibility.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety standards relevant to the energy sector.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Work location

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. Additionally, there are excellent office facilities at Esbjerg Airport. A gathering place for offshore employees aimed at strengthening the connection between onshore and offshore operations. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel occasionally as part of your role.
